Welcome to Groove Guardian Digital, where we passionately convert your cherished vinyl records and cassettes into pristine digital audio files. My name is Chris, and I am not just the founder of this venture—I am, and always have been, a record nut. From the age of 10, I’ve breathed, eaten, and slept vinyl. My love for records started when my grandmother gifted me my first album, by the Bay City Rollers, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion. Now, at 50, my personal collection has grown just as my fascination with audio preservation has deepened.

With an audio engineering degree under my belt and a history steeped in music, my journey from a massive tape collection during my teenage years to professional sound engineering was fueled by pure enthusiasm. I remember using my father’s tape deck so much that I literally wore the head out—something the repair guy had never seen before. Those days of recording friends' bands laid the groundwork for what would become a professional pivot into audio preservation.

My foray into recording vinyl began around 2011-12, driven by a dissatisfaction with the loudness and distortion of CDs and digital streaming services. Starting with a basic turntable and a cheap computer sound card, my quest for better sound quality has evolved into an audiophile-grade process after many learning curves and many equipment upgrades. It wasn’t long before friends, impressed by the superior quality of the music played at a gathering, suggested I offer my services to others. They claimed it was the best sounding music they’d heard outside of a live setting.
